I love the new version of Greed, but Lothar’s face on Snail Speed kinda freaks me out when it’s resized. It looked even scarier without the heavy shading around the eyes, but at least it’s better than the old one.

I found Sevino’s abandoned floating head in my sketchbook from the seven deadly sins project and turned it into Lothar, who was not very pleased about that and made placing Sevino in with him a complete pain in the ass. It worked out in the end, not for Lothar but for Sevino XD There was a much bigger gap between them before I moved Sevino in closer so his arm could wrap across Lothar’s waist without him having monkey arms. It wasn’t until I was masking out the back of Lothar’s head that I noticed Sevino could’ve been whispering into his ear. I laughed much >3
I used about 10+ anatomical study sketches/clay/3D models on DA to build Sevino’s back and shoulder. The rest I just winged. I’m sure there’s a glaring obvious error in there somewhere. It’s times like this that I wish I took anatomical drawing, but my sanity thanks me for not having to memorize bones again.

OAS is good eatin’
Here’s the old color scheme that was way too dark but I liked the gloomy atmosphere.

And in an effort not to double post in people’s f-lists, I completely forget to cross post.
Gluttony’s going to need another 2-3 weeks but the rest are done ^__^ I had to rush the clothing to get it in on time so I’m redoing everything but Kryito’s head and the background (which is quite sexy but isn’t in the screenshot). If I find the inspiration, I’ll finish up the series with Erebos (wrath) and Scryren (sloth), but right now, I need a break.
I’m also trying out DA’s print service since it’s free now. I think paying $50 for an 18×24 matte print is a bit ridiculous, but I’ve been spoiled by the large format Epson in the lab so maybe that’s normal. It’s a shame the ink would crack if I rolled up the Epson prints for mailing because I’d sell them that way and bypass the whole DA thing.
Anyway, except for Running at Snail Speed and Dual Wielding (they’re old), they’re all at 300 DPI so quality won’t be a problem. I could opt for 30×40 but I’m assuming DA would drop the DPI to 150 to print it that large. I personally never print below 200 and when it’s that huge, I’d be concerned about pixelation. Who knows, maybe it wouldn’t be a problem but when DA’s charging $80 for it, I don’t want people being disappointed by the quality. That’s not cool.

This is the top half of my split page assignment for illustration. I’ll probably crop the right arm off at the shoulder since the foreshortening is all fubared.

I need to get my ass in bed so this is gonna be quick.
Toning didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to so I’m back to color. I do have something to show for it though.
It looks…okay at 25% but at anything else the screentones moired wore than a bad scanner -.-;;

Elf Sketch #26 – Kryito. Making use of the scraps section in DA XD
I’ve been re-working the Oneiroi species and a whole bunch of other crap that’s having huge a impact on the story, for the better. I was making things too complicated to fit what I wanted to happen at certain parts in the story and realized it was one big cluster fuck of confusion, mainly because even I don’t understand the world I’m working in (ouch). You can suspend your disbelief for so long before you start freaking out. Damn half-breeds making things complicated.
