45 Minutes – Elf Sketch 23 – Kryito: Say what?

I don’t draw Kryito anymore because I hate him. I somehow turned him into this smiling naive idiot and I can’t stand him…and if I can’t stand him, then there’s no way Lothar would put up with him. I actually wanted to draw him half transformed into a Oneiroi so maybe his coolness factor would return, but I’m happy with this new personally that came out instead. I blame the birds eye angle for the shape of the eyes (I would have never thought to draw him with this expression–it’s too OC for him) but hey, I like the new Kryito. I’m keeping him XD *OC Kryito kicks wimpy uke Kryito out*

Now that I think about, Kryito fits more in the World of Madness than he does in Akheron T___T

I did a major overhaul on it tonight so I’m glad I didn’t post it outside of LJ (redid the nose, added the second eye, moved some hair, moved the shoulder lower, redrew the shirt and tie, and tossed a yellow-ish tone over it. -> 10 hours)

The pen tool is such an amazing thing. It makes drawing hair unbelievely less frustrating. *pets her new toy* I don’t know what’s with tablets not drawing smooth long lines but this just bypassed that problem.

This is the middle two panels of a comic page I started over three years ago, and the only thing that was ever drawn so no, there’s not more to it T___T. It’s the same fight that’s going on in [ Lothar in the Wasteland ] and how Lothar loses his coat…by throwing it in Sevino’s face so he can get a shot off on him while he’s doing one of those amazing fifty feet in the air anime jumps up onto the building behind him.

I learned how to use the pen tool [ here ]. Very simple. It didn’t take very long to get used to. You can see the difference in the curved tips of Sevino’s hair versus his shirt/jacket, which I did last. That’s pure pen tool. The eyes, nose and mouth are still hand drawn. I won’t let it do all the work.

Have I drawn anything new? No, not yet, but the pen tool boosted my morale and I don’t have any drawing classes this year >3 It looks promising.

It’s about damn time. outline. Moloch’s ass and the chain were added in last minute. I’m quite happy with both of them. ^____^ Genar’s hand is bother me but I think I know how to fix it.

I’m also going to start drawing the underside of Moloch’s ears. They really can’t droop like that, but I might as well make it believable when I draw them drooped X3

The composition on Elf Sketch #21 has been pissing me off since I put Genar in. He looks like a background piece T__T Moloch was supposed to be curled around one of his legs (he fell asleep while Genar was reading, like usual X3) but I couldn’t get the angle right and gave up >___< Tonight I finally got the damn uke where he belongs. By far the most yaoi-ish thing I’ve drawn. Maybe now I can get myself to draw that pic of Sevino and Lothar I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I’d go on about that, and how much Lothar doesn’t like being pinned up against walls, but I need to go to bed.

Made a few changes to the Akheron Glossary two weekends ago, I think.

Lothar’s arc opening is finally nailed down. Writing wise, I need to thicken it up a bit, not with junk but environment interactions. I’m really bad with that. X_____X I could continue talking about this, or I could work on it ^^

Yup yup, after two years the pic of the anthro whoring out music has been replaced with Lothar’s ouroboros tattoo surrounding the OAS logo. I use a similar version of it for my DeviantArt ID and if the info wasn’t outdated it’d put it up for my y!gallery ID too.

I shaded it in Photoshop 7 so it’s kinda on the crappy side. I’ll post the textless version here when it annoys me enough and I touch it up in Photoshop 5. (I split it up into two images for loading purposes. Not so it’s a pain in the ass to save >___<) Over the weekend I did an overhaul on the character profiles and Akheron Glossary. Over the next few days I'll be adding black borders around images over the site. Whoever programmed CSS so it could be inserted into image tags even when they're wrapped in a link is a genius. No nasty blue link borders here.

For the sake of the paper I’m drawing the knife and sheath in digitally. If I pull off Sevino’s reflection in the blade I’ll be very happy ^_^ However my new scanner doesn’t seem to like pencil very much. Probably my settings. >.>;;
